Privacy policy
The Moon Tracker (themoontracker.com) has no accounts and no sign-up forms. The sky is calculated in your own browser. Advertising and visitor counts are provided by Google, which uses cookies as described below.
What stays on your device
The site remembers a few choices in your browser’s local storage so they are still there next time: the town you chose, the playback speed and step, the size of the Moon and Sun, display settings and night mode. These stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Your location
If you tap “Use my location”, your browser asks for your permission first. The position is used on your device only, to find the nearest town in our list. It is not sent to us or stored, apart from the town that is then chosen.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We show ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free.

Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)

Fonts
The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page opens, your browser fetches them from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
Hosting
Like every website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, for security and to keep the site running.
Share buttons
The share buttons are plain links. Nothing is sent to a social network until you choose one; then that network’s own privacy policy applies.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and keep them only as long as needed for that.
Children
The Moon Tracker is a general audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. We do not hold personal data apart from emails you send us. For data held by Google, use the links above. For anything else, write to contact@themoontracker.com.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
